Our Sales and Marketing teams enable us to develop new products, build new business and ensure that we're constantly meeting our clients' needs. In Sales and Marketing we focus on two key markets:
The institutional market – this includes pension funds (both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution), local authorities and charities.
The retail market – this is divided up into three business segments: Wholesale, Direct and our online funds supermarket, FundsNetwork™. Our Wholesale segment includes independent financial advisors, brokers, banks and insurance companies. The Direct segment includes all those clients who choose to invest directly via phone, internet service or face-to-face in our London Investor Centre. FundsNetwork™ is Fidelity's fund supermarket platform, which offers funds from many providers to IFA's and clients.
Our business and product development teams work closely with these two sales and marketing groups to research and develop a continual stream of new products and markets. By understanding our clients and their financial ambitions, these teams enable us to continue developing our business.
Naturally, Sales and Marketing is an integral part of our business, contributing to the fresh thinking that drives our business forward. The self motivated and creative sales and marketing professionals in these groups understand the global business environment and are used to communicating with people from a range of business cultures and backgrounds. Consequently, they're highly influential on our success.
